I know how you feel
When they laugh at you
Because that feels bad
It happens to me too.
I know how you feel
And it makes me feel sad
Because you don’t have money
It happens to me too.
I know how you feel
When I walk past the homeless I feel sad
Because I don’t want to be homeless.
I know how you feel
When these bad kids kick you
Because sometimes it happens to me too.

Rafael,
Your poem really made me feel many emotions...sadness to happiness. You did a great job of making me see the ways you are like some homeless people (people laugh at you and sometimes you don't have enough money). My happiness comes from knowing that you realize that you aren't exactly like the homeless persons you are thinking about because you have a home (at least I'm guessing you do because you said, "Because I don’t want to be homeless").
Very skillful writing. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing it with us!
Thanks for sharing this with us Rafaele. Being able to share your feelings, good and bad, is very important. Poetry is a great way to do this.
