I feel like I don’t belong here

I am a nice young man
I wonder about the homeless people on the streets
I hear a lot of things in my head saying what will they have to eat
I see people every day lying on the ground
I want to help them but all I can do is walk around
I am a nice young man
I pretend that I’m not in special ed
I feel like I need to get out of this class
I touch the heart of the people who love me
I worry that people will make fun of me
I cry but I don’t show I cry
I am a nice young man.
I understand that this is not where I belong
I say that I am not in special ed but I am
I don’t dream of nothing
I try to get out of this special ed class
I hope I never have to come here anymore
I am a nice young man.

Carl I love your poem an hope that you understand that writing is a way out an just because your are in special ed dose not make you different. It let you know that you need extra help. Keep writing I will keep reading.
