This 35-page lesson packet is for your awesome special needs students in the 6th grade Humanities class! The 60min. lesson targets CCSS RL6.2 which uses details from the text to determine theme and/or main idea. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify the 3 central themes of the modified version of the folktale from Asia, “Five Chinese Brothers” and cite 3 textual evidence using a graphic organizer. With minimal modifications, this lesson may be used for Elementary students and ELL.
