This awesome 9-page vocabulary resource pack targets CCSS: Use spelling patterns and generalizations (e.g., word families, position-based spellings, syllable patterns, ending rules, meaningful word parts) in writing words. Use as a homework assignment/ supplement to your reading intervention program!
Students will learn spelling patterns as they unscramble the vocabulary words. They will write the correct spelling of each scrambled word in the shaded boxes. Then finally, they will write a letter from each numbered box to answer the riddle!
As a supplementary, there are suggested interventions for a student who has difficulty with spelling words that do not follow spelling rules.
